By Credit Card

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted. The charge will appear on your credit card statement as “Chicago Books & Journals.”

Important note about credit card security

The University of Chicago Press is committed to protecting the integrity and security of your credit card information. For this reason, we are unable to collect credit card information by email or from the online portal of a third-party vendor for manual processing. Email messages containing credit card numbers will be deleted from our servers and your order may be lost. Payments from third-party vendors will be blocked and cannot be received. University policy prohibits our network from being used to obtain or transmit credit card information in this manner.

Please submit your payment through an alternate solution (i.e., check, ACH, wire transfer), or by an alternate credit card process (i.e., using the direct link to our site provided in your renewal email, or calling our direct number to remit card information by phone). If we are unable to answer the call immediately, do not leave credit card information on the voicemail message.

Institutions: Subscription renewal payments can be made online or by phone up to three months prior to the subscription expiration date.

By Wire Transfer

Subscribers may submit payment via wire transfer. There is a $25 fee for wire payments from non-US destinations. Non-US customers paying by wire should add $25 to the total amount of the invoice. If you wish to avoid this fee you may submit your order by check, money order, or credit card.
